Messianic Judaism
Cohn-Sherbok, Dan
"Some time ago my wife and I spent several months in the United States
interviewing a cross-section of the Jewish community for a book we were
writing entitled The American Jew. In the process we heard about a small
synagogue where individuals calling themselves ‘Messianic Jews’ held
religious services. One of those who told us about them was the director of
an anti-cult organization. Sitting on the porch of his house drinking
mandarin tea while a squirrel overhead pelted us with small pieces of bark,
he told us about his experiences with this new religious movement."
